12萬平方米的無錫國際會議中心位于擁有豐富歷史的古城無錫，包含1600座的觀眾廳、萬人展廳以及各種不同規模的會議室等設施。

Located in the ancient city of Wuxi, this 120,000m2 conference center features large exhibition halls, a 1600 people auditorium and a wide range of meeting rooms and facilities.

“我們希望會議中心能夠在太湖新城會展城中發揮更大的作用。”會展城中擁有兩個酒店、一座辦公樓和商業街區，均由Henning Larsen建筑事務所設計。

We envisioned this conference center to serve a greater role for Wuxi as the centerpiece of a Convention City that also includes 2 hotels, an office tower, a shopping mall, and a retail village, all designed by Henning Larsen.

會議中心的功能布局簡潔清晰：由中央大堂作為中軸，連接所有的會議以及會展功能。同時，中央大堂也定義了一條延伸到會議中心之外的新城市軸線。

Within the Conference center, facilities are clustered along a public inner street that defines a new urban axis that extends beyond the conference center itself.

中央大堂為會議中心提供了兩個主入口，將優美的尚賢湖濕地公園和新城市中心連接起來。作為城市客廳，這里將設有咖啡及休息座椅等，其寬闊大氣的空間也使其成為眾多活動的舉辦場所。同時，通過精心設計的可開啟窗策略，大堂在一年中的大部分時間里都能實現自然通風。

As such, the inner street imposes two main entrances for the conference center, connecting a vast wetland park with a large Commercial Center across the road. The inner street functions as a public realm with cafes and informal seating. The street itself becomes a place for numerous events and is naturally ventilated most of the year.

建筑外圍為開敞明亮的序廳，可為參會者提供盡享濕地公園美景的休息空間，使用者也可以通過序廳直接步入室外景觀中的露臺。相比其他大多數的會議中心，本項目可讓使用者更輕松地享受日光與新鮮空氣。

The periphery of the conference center serves as break-out or pre-function spaces with views over the park. These spaces extend to accessible terraces in the surrounding landscape. With this layout, conference attendees can enjoy daylight and fresh air more easily than in most conference centers.

會議中心的南側有一座二層連橋，跨越景觀河道，連接著兩個洲際集團的酒店（一家為五星級的洲際酒店，另外一家為英迪格酒店）。

Furthermore, a bridge extends over a canal along the Southern side of the Conference center, connecting to two hotels (one 5 Star Intercontinental, and one Indigo Hotel).

會議中心和兩個酒店都擁有傾斜的立面，與著名旅游景點太湖附近的山脈遙相呼應，成為自然風光的一部分。立面采用參數化的設計，打造不同程度的通透度，通過不斷變化的光影來調節日光的強度。夜晚時分，會議中心內部散發出光芒，將成為無錫一道亮麗的地標。

With its sloping facades, the conference center and hotels are part of a natural scenery that echoes the way small mountains lies by the nearby Taihu Lake, a major tourist destination in China.The facades are designed with varying degrees of transparency, filtering daylight in an everchanging display of light and shadows.At night, the conference center glows from inside, showing itself as the ever lively new landmark of Wuxi.
